Some of the other muses have been talking about an Oracle arriving in these lands. I've seen various deities, magicians and seers, so this did not really surprise me.

What did intrigue me though, was hearing this this particular Oracle is actually [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s mother.

I did not realize a program might have a mother. Perhaps she might be able to shed some light on his recent strange behaviour.

Besides, I understand she bakes wonderful cookies.

Beregond finds his way to the place he has been told the Oracle now resides.

Hello, excuse me? Am I intruding?

Intruding? Of course not. My kitchen is always open to visitors.

You know, I've been wondering when you would show up. I'm surprised you took this long.

How are you, Beregond? Would you like some cookies?

*blinks*

You know of me already? Ah, I suppose people talk, then. Rumors fly freely around here.

I am... confused. And hungry. Thank you. *takes a cookie*

*laughs* I need no rumours to know your name, Beregond. After all, I am the Oracle.

And yes, you seem very confused. Not that I blame you. Sometimes our vision is so blurred that we see double, and lose our way.

Funny you should say 'double'. These cookies are excellent, by the way. *takes another*

I may be lost, yes. But I'll find my way. I have to. It's either that or give in to insanity. As I fear your son has already done.

Have you spoken to him lately?

I last spoke to him a few days ago. In fact, he is one of the reasons I've decided to come to this realm. I've since left him some messages (http://www.livejournal.com/users/code_smith/7450.html) on his answering machine, but I suspect he is in no mood to see me.

Would it help you if I took a message back to him? I will probably be seeing him very soon. In fact, I don't think I would be able to avoid it.

No no. I fear that the message would not go through at all.

Beregond, I think there's someone you should speak to who might help you. Go to the one named Russell. You've already spoken to him before.

Go immediately.

Ru-Russell? Yes, I do know him. He can help? I don't understand.

She's an Oracle, Beregond. She's given you a path. Take another cookie and see where the path leads.

Could I have another cookie for the road? ... and thank you. I wish you luck contacting Smith. A son should not ignore his mother.
